Something about embroidered patches reminds me of the 90s. They live in my mind along side Saturday morning cartoons, collecting stickers and playing 8-bit  video games. I try to remember that when I designing and crafting my own embroidered patches. Thats what drew me to patches but the great thing about them is they're personal expression. Whether on your bag, your jeans or your jacket they're like a bumper sticker showing off your personal interests and point of view.

The more patches I made the more I realised their versatility. It was important to use to embrace that not just in the choice of patch but in how they are used. The traditional way to attach a patch by sewing or using iron on adhesive. This made them secure but also made them permanent. Our other option, velcro patches, lets you change things up more regularly. Instead of attaching the patch to the garment you just attach the "hook fabric" and any velcro backed patch can be placed there.
